SAGA (Sikkim Apex growers
Association) was conceptualized by Our Chief
minister Shri Pawan K Chamling and Madam
Tika Maya Chamling. Saga is a consortium of
individual farmers and growers of fruits,
vegetables, flowers and food processors from
throughout Sikkim. The need to formulate
this association was to give a common brand
name that is “Sikkim” and to collectively
market our Horticulture, Agriculture and
processed foods. Due to the constant
guidance and advice of our Chief Minister
and Minister of Horticulture – Shri Somnath
Poudyal to produce organic foods, and value
add to our farm produce, the farmers of
Sikkim are making sincere efforts to fulfill
this objective. |
